Boulderkeskus Espoo organizes U11/13/15 Finnish Bouldering Championships 24.5.2025!
Boulderkeskus is organizing Finnish bouldering championships for juniors born in 2011 - 2015 (or later) at BK Espoo on 24.5.2025.

* Isolation means that the competitor is not allowed to see the problems built for the finals in advance. In isolation the competitor is in the same place (BK Flash) with other competitors but does not have access to their phone or to people outside the isolation. Competitors are allowed to talk to each other and coaches in the isolation and of course to warm up, snack and prepare for the finals in other ways. Finalists can enter the isolation zone when it opens and the have to enter it before the closing time, otherwise one cannot take part in the finals. Once the competitor has entered the isolation, they must stay there until the competition begins. Same rule goes for the support team. The isolation is only for the finals, not for qualifiers.

Registration
For U13 ja U15 -categories, registration happens through your own climbing club. The club will gather all registrations and pass them to the Finnish Climbing Association (SKIL).
Registration for the U11 category is done via the following link.
Last day to register is 8.5.2025.

Competition format
Qualifications
- There are 8 problems (routes) in the qualifications.
- Competitors are free to watch other competitors climb during the qualifications.
- Every competitor has 5 tries per boulder. The competitor can choose to use their tries on the boulders in the order they prefer.
Finals
- 8 competitors from U13/15 -categories go to finals. Only Finnish citizens get to compete in the finals. (EDITED 20.5. - previously 6 competitors)
- There are no finals for the U11 -category
- There are 4 boulders (routes) in the finals per category (EDITED 20.5. - previously 3 boulders)
- There is an observation round before the finals. The finalists get to observe the problems for 2 min per problem.
- Every competitor has 4 minutes per problem after which they have a 4 min break before the next problem.
Arriving to the gym/venue
Boulderkeskus Espoo can easily be accessed by public transportation, car or bicycle. There are free parking spots in the front yard as well as on the surrounding streets and opposite of the gym in front of Ramirent. The gym's contact information can be found here.
