The customer commits to a one-year (12-month) membership with the service provider (Boulderkeskus, Isatis Oy). Invoicing starts from the starting month, if the contract is signed earlier than the 15th of the current month. Otherwise, billing starts on the 1st of the following month. After the fixed period of one year, the contract is valid indefinitely. The contract is extended automatically after the fixed period. If the customer wants to terminate the contract at the end of the fixed period, the termination must be done no later than a full calendar month before the end of the fixed period. After the fixed period, the membership can be terminated accordingly before the beginning of the last calendar month, i.e. with one month's notice period.
Pausing the contract Based on a medical certificate, the customer can suspend his membership for at least one (1) month. The medical certificate must be presented immediately after the accident. Periods are not refunded retroactively. If the customer temporarily moves out of the capital region (Espoo, Helsinki, Vantaa, Kauniainen, Sipoo, Kerava), he can suspend his membership for at least one month (1). It is only possible for the customer to pause already paid months, and all notices of pauses and suspensions must be made before the beginning of the suspension period. Freezes and pauses can only be made for whole calendar months, so not for example from the middle of the month to the middle of the next month.
Terminating the membership contract After the first year (12 months) of the membership, the customer can terminate the contract under the following conditions. The contract termination period is 1 month from the customer's side. The service provider can terminate the contract immediately if the customer neglects the terms of the contract. Cancellation must be notified by the customer in writing (e-mail is counted as written notification). Otherwise, the service provider's notice period is 1 month.
If the customer wants to terminate the contract in the middle of the first year, the customer must reimburse the service provider for the benefit received. The benefit obtained is calculated as the difference between the valid price of the Premium monthly card and the monthly payment of the customer's annual contract for the time used.
E.g. The Member has had the membership for 7 months and wants to terminate the contract. With one month's notice it adds up to 8 months of climbing. The membership fee per month can be i.e. 56€ and Premium monthly access card is 89€. The benefit gained by the membership can be calculated as follows 8*89€ – 8*56€ = 264€. The Member has to compensate 264€ of the benefit gained by having the membership for Boulderkeskus.
If the customer has paid for the entire year's membership at once, there are no fees or refunds due to termination. Paid periods will not be refunded if termination occurs in the middle of the billing period.
Note! Climbing is a sport that involves the risk of serious injury. Climbing in the Boulderkeskus facilities is done at your own risk. The service provider is not responsible for damages caused while climbing. We recommend that every customer join BK Climbers ry or a similar climbing club as a full member to obtain climbing insurance.
These conditions have entered into force 10.4.2019 and they apply to all existing contracts.
