Hello dear friends of BK!
Easter is just around the corner and sun and warmth are finally in the forecast! All kinds of treats are in store, because in BK Espoo there is a super fun Easter adventure for children with sweet prizes and new fun stuff for adults in Kino, where we finally have the newest Moonboard set from 2024 - have fun! With this newsletter we are starting a little series about climbing etiquette - hopefully you will find it useful!
Easter activity for kids in Boulderkeskus Espoo 29.3. - 1.4.
The Easter bunny has been jumping around the climbing gym and has left behind seven Easter images. Can you help the bunny and climb to see what Easter figures it has left for you to find? Then you can draw an Easter story for the little bunny.
Our Easter adventure is a fun activity for the kids with a delicious prize. You can get the instructions from the cashier and then get started! Come to BK Flash, the kids' gym at BK Espoo, to climb and have a good time on 29.3. -1.4.!
NB! We have a limited amount of prizes, but the climbing won't run out!

Moonboard 2024 now at BK Kino!
The latest in the field of training walls now available at Kino! Moonboard 2024 has found its way to Lauttasaari's training sanctuary - the blue rough new holds and the good old wooden ones too. The new grip set is titled more ergonomic and versatile. It will undoubtedly give you a great workout. Go ahead and give it a try!
Lauttasaari Kino can be accessed with Premium cards and annual membership using the link. If you are an annual member and don't have a link yet, send a message to info(a)boulderkeskus.com! Did you know that you can also upgrade your 10x card to a Premium card?
Ps. In Espoo at the moment Moonboard 2016 and in Pasila 2019 model. Have fun!
Some spots left still: BK Climbers summer camps for kids
BKC's climbing summer camps are now available! Day camps at the beginning of June are organized at BK Kino in Lauttasaari, BK Espoo and BK Herttoniemi. There are camps for different age groups from 6 to 16 years old. There will be climbing, outdoor activities, games and fun!

New series: Climbing etiquette
There are many "unwritten rules" in climbing, and there are many types of climbers in the gyms. In order to make climbing as comfortable as possible for everyone, we decided to start a column in the newsletter where we go through (especially Boulderkeskus') climbing etiquette - of course, many instructions apply anywhere!
The first part works as a foundation - it is about the safe space principles that work as a basis for any sort of common instructions. Other parts are more climbing specific: about brushing, outdoor climbing and much more!
Take others into consideration: safe space principles
Boulderkeskus is a discrimination free zone and a safe space - for everyone:
- Equality and respect for human rights are basic values in a safe space.
- Harassment, racism, hate speech and discrimination of any kind do not belong in climbing - or anywhere else.
- Consider and respect others as they are. We also respect everyone’s personal space, opinions and privacy. Let’s also keep from commenting on anyone’s bodies.
- Avoid making assumptions about others' sexuality, gender, nationality, ethnicity, religion, values, health or anything else.
Please notify an employee immediately if the safe space instructions are violated. You can also intervene in the situation yourself, but we hope that the information about possible cases also reaches our employees.
