SPECTATOR TICKETS FOR THE BOULDERING NATIONALS AVAILABLE NOW!
Come cheer on Finland's finest climbers and watch the most amazing Finnish Nationals in bouldering!
BK Espoo's gym is optimally designed for organising competitions and also, of course, so that it offers great facilities for spectators. It’s going to be a great spectacle on exciting problems created by our talented routesetting team. Our headsetter for the comp is a Polish superstar Olga Niemiec @olga_niemiec ! We are also getting brand new holds for the competitors to puzzle over. Exciting!
Entry fee for spectators is 15€. Junior ticket for 15 year-olds and younger is 10 €. With a ticket, you can watch on Saturday 2.3. the semi-finals and finals.
Provisional schedule for Saturday 2.3.
- semi-finals from 10 am to 12 pm
- finals from 6 pm to 8 pm
The qualifiers on Friday starting around 4pm are free for spectators.

How to 7A -coaching course starting in February at BK Herttoniemi
Do you want to improve as a climber but feel like you need some help with that? The super popular How to 7A coaching course might be just the boost you need! The coaching group is small which allows focusing also on everyone’s own strengths and development points, and gives good instructions and a great base for development in the future as well!
This course is aimed for more climbers who have mastered the skills to send at least 6A graded problems but want to take steps to the next level.
The next four-part coaching course starts in Herttoniemi on February’s first Monday 5.2. and continues on Mondays until the end of the month, the last session being on 26.2. The training sessions are from 18.00 to 20.00. The coach for the course is routesetter and avid climber Juho Seppälä. Read more and sign up here.
February's BK CUP in Konala on 9.2.
The second competition of the year will take place in the classic gym of Konala on Friday 9th of February. Come enjoy the comp problems and have a good time with friends starting from 18.00.
Remember that this year there are a few changes in the comp:
- Flashes matter! Flash a problem and you get more points.
- The categories are “women” and “open” so that everyone can participate in the comp comfortably.
BK CUP is a competition open to everyone, where annual members compete for free and other climbers for a small fee of 10 euros (+entrance)! The prizes are epic: the best will win an annual membership and great prizes will be drawn among all participants!
Everyone is welcome - you don't have to be an experienced competition champion to participate.

New Training Group in Kino
My oh my, isn’t this great! Our brilliant routesetter and coach Jessy starts a new Training Group on Thursdays in Kino's training sanctuary. The peaceful Kino in Lauttasaari offers a great setting for training, and with Jessy's guidance you will find suitable problems and ways to improve your climbing. The Training Group trains on Thursdays between January 18. and May 30. from 17:30 to 19:30 and it will be held in English. The price is 10€ (+entrance), payment via online shop! You can also buy the entire season's workouts at once for 158€ (+entrance).
The Training Group is suitable for climbers of all levels and it is a low-threshold training group without too much pressure! Warm-up, projecting in a good company and exercises on the wall as well as cool down with some stretching and with the help of a coach will help you develop in climbing almost by accident!
